Sod and landscape work done properly — and built to look right as it matures.
Classic Curb Appeal is an owner-operated business offering quality sod installation, lawn renovation and carefully selected landscape improvements, guided by horticultural best practices.
What we do
A focused scope, done to a high standard.
Sod Installation
Careful preparation, tight seams, clean transitions and edges that stay where we put them. The finishing details are what make a new lawn look right.
Lawn Renovation
For lawns that have thinned, settled unevenly or simply run their course — removal, soil correction and a fresh start on properly prepared ground.
Landscape Improvements
Garden beds, planting, natural-looking hardscape elements and finishing details. Projects are selected thoughtfully according to suitability and scope.

Design philosophy
A landscape should complement the architecture, never overpower it.
We consider proportions, sightlines, existing materials, natural surroundings, mature plant size and long-term maintenance before anything is planted. We favour thoughtful restraint over adding elements simply because there is space available.
We prefer natural, timeless, durable materials — natural stone, cedar mulch, aluminum edging and plants suited to the site. The goal is a landscape that feels as though it belongs to the property.
Read our approachThe customer experience
Plan → Prepare → Install → Care
A landscape is not finished the day the contractor leaves. We care about how it performs and matures afterward, so every project includes practical guidance for the season ahead.
Plan
We look at the architecture, proportions, sightlines and how the yard is actually used before suggesting anything.
Prepare
Grading confirmed, old turf removed, soil corrected and levelled. Preparation is where a lawn is won or lost.
Install
Materials chosen for durability and appearance, installed with attention to alignment, transitions and edges.
Care
You receive practical guidance on watering, mowing and seasonal care so the landscape establishes properly.
Selected work
Quality is visible in the details most people never name.
Tight seams, straight lines against walks, clean bed edges, and grades that drain the way they should. Our project gallery grows as each season's work is photographed.

Common questions
Answers before you ask
How much does sod installation cost in Edmonton?
Most residential sod projects in the Edmonton area fall between roughly $1.50 and $3.00 per square foot installed. New installations on ground that is already graded sit at the lower end; lawn renovations that require removing an existing lawn, adding topsoil and re-levelling sit higher. Our project calculator gives you a preliminary range, and a site visit gives you a firm number.
How is sod priced?
Sod is priced by area, but the labour around it is what really sets the cost: preparation, soil, levelling, cutting around beds and walks, disposal of the old lawn, and access to the yard. We quote the whole job rather than the sod alone so there are no surprises.
What preparation is required before sod is installed?
The area needs to be cleared, at the correct grade, loosened and levelled, with clean topsoil where required. Existing turf and debris are removed, and edges are cut cleanly at walks, driveways and beds. Good preparation is the single biggest factor in how a new lawn roots and how flat it stays.
Do you provide final grading?
Classic Curb Appeal focuses on sod installation, lawn renovation and landscape improvements. For new construction, final grading must be completed before sod installation. We're happy to assess the site and discuss any preparation required before installation.
